Because Lakeville was not incorporated until 1853, it was not included in the
Vital Records to the Year 1850 (Boston: New England Historic Genealogical Society) series.
The book Middleborough, Massachusetts Vital Records, Volumes 1 and 2 (Edited by Barbara Lambert Merrick Alicia Crane Williams, Taunton, Mass.: Massachusetts Society of Mayflower Descendants, William S. Sullwold Publishing, Inc., 1986 and 1990) is also available on-site at Lakeville and Middleborough Public Libraries, or online at NEHGS (membership required).
Jay Holbrook’s collection of Massachusetts Vital Records, including Town of Middleborough Records, 1656-1705 and Middleborough Births 1675-1743, Marriages 1689-1747 and Deaths 1705-1744, Town Meetings 1705-1744 is available online at Ancestry.com (subscription required). These are films of the Middleborough Town Clerk’s records and have been indexed and are easily searchable.

Massachusetts Birth, Marriage, and Death Records from 1841-1915 can be searched online at FamilySearch (free). These records have been indexed and are easily searchable, and are the records held by the Massachusetts State Archives.
Vital Records Maintained by the Lakeville Town Clerk from 1853-1905 are located online at FamilySearch (free). These currently are not indexed, and need to be searched page by page. These are digital images from a microfilm of the originals created by the Family History Library, Lakeville vital records, 1853-1905, FHL film 2079625.
